An interesting development happened in Andhra Pradesh politics after Mahasena Rajesh who was earlier announced as P Gannavaram TDP MLA candidate stepped down. He announced that he is not contesting the election due to the targeted approach of YSR Congress leaders who are spreading hateful propaganda against him.
There is an interesting aspirant for this MLA ticket now as the BJP has reportedly locked its sight on this constituency. In case BJP onboards the Telugu Desam and Janasena alliance, then the saffron party is likely to push for this P Gannavaram assembly ticket.
BJP is no stranger to P Gannavaram as the party won this seat back in 1999 so it has some sort of a political presence here. In case the alliance materializes, BJP could be getting a handful of MLA seats and it turns out that P Gannavaram could be one of those seats.
With Mahasena Rajesh stepping out of the race, the ticket is wide open and TDP-JSP might not have any problem giving this MLA ticket to BJP. But the primary thing that needs to happen here is BJP must first join the alliance and only then will the seat distribution point come to discussion.
