The recent political developments surrounding Kapu community leader Mudragada Padmanabham have unfolded like a gripping political thriller. Initially expected to join the YSR Congress, Mudragada backed out after his demand for a specific MLA seat went unmet. Subsequently, Janasena extended an invitation through Bolisetty Satyanarayana, with even Pawan Kalyan slated to meet the senior leader, yet this plan also fell through.
Now, the narrative has circled back to its origin, with YCP leaders once again lining up at Mudragada’s residence to invite him to join the ruling party. Reportedly, YSR Congress stalwarts Mithun Reddy, Pilli Subash Chandrabose, and Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy are set to extend the invitation.
According to media reports, the arrangement between YSRC and Mudragada stipulates that he won’t be offered an MLA ticket. Instead, post-elections, his son will receive a nominated position, while Mudragada himself will be appointed to a significant government post. It seems Mudragada Padmanabham’s induction into the YSR Congress is now merely a formality.
Recently, Mudragada penned a spirited letter to Pawan Kalyan, expressing disappointment over the failure to meet despite two promised appointments. He subtly mocked Pawan’s party securing 24 seats in the alliance. Ultimately, he stands on the brink of taking the YCP oath just five weeks before the election.
