Amidst strong buzz that YSRCP would join NDA, YSRCP rebel MP Kanumuru Raghurama Krishna Raju has made interesting political comments. Responding to some media reports that YSRCP was invited to join NDA and the regional party had put a condition that it would only consider joining NDA if the Special Category Status is issued, Raghurama Krishna Raju opined, “Those are paid articles and paid stories on some TV channels. There is no truth to it and it is not correct to project so in the media.”
Raju said people of the state won’t believe in such speculations as they are smarter and sharper than the leaders. Given that Raghurama Raju has great connections in BJP and is rumoured to be close to BJP’s top brass, his comments on YSRCP – BJP’s talks gained significance. Raju said leaders who wants to rule for another 20 to 25 years need to be constructive and should be wary of people’s smart thinking. He found fault with some YSRCP leaders who are making propaganda that BJP invited YSRCP into NDA and YSRCP is “thinking” about it. He added that people are not ready to believe in such speculations.
Raju opined that YSRCP and BJP may not strike an alliance. “Anybody can join with anyone in politics. But basic ideology of a party (read YSRCP) here has conflict with the other party (read BJP). People know about this. I need not elaborate on this much. I don’t think BJP will join them (YSRCP),” said Raju.
Raju questioned, “Who is ready to join them first? I don’t think BJP is ready. Why will they join? They (YSRCP) are only keep on announcing and publicizing that they are joining NDA.”
Meanwhile, the Narsapuram Lok Sabha MP also made it clear that he is ready to resign to his MP post if all other MPs of YSRCP resign for achieving the Special Category Status to the state. Raju said there is no compromise on the interest of the state.
Raju found fault with AP government’s scheme “Jagan Anna Vidya Kanuka”. He sincerely appealed to CM Jagan to change its name and name after the intellectuals and contributors to Education sector. He said it is people’s money and naming so for government’s schemes are not welcoming.
Talking about the capital row which hit the legal tussle and the case is pending in the AP High Court, Raghurama Krishna Raju has appreciated the farmers of Amaravati who have been peacefully protesting against the state government’s decision to shift the capital to Vizag. Raju gave hope to farmers of Amaravati that “justice” will be served and said the “victory” is inching closer. He asked farmers to continue their fight without giving up. Raju also condemned the two state ministers who had made “vulgar comments” on Amaravati farmers.
