With the latest progressions in Delhi implying that the alliance between Telugu Desam, Janasena and BJP looking very likely, the focus has fallen on the list of AP BJP candidates who could be getting the MLA/MP tickets once the alliance is finalized.
Coming to the limited MLA tickets that BJP might be getting, aspirants like Vishnu Kumar Raju, Adinarayana Reddy, and Varadapuram Suri are the frontrunners to secure the MLA tickets. These leaders have a strong grip in their respective constituencies and they can benefit from the vote transfer prospect of the alliance.
Coming to the MP seats, Daggubati Purandeswari, Kothapalli Geetha, Kiran Kumar Reddy, Sujana Chowary, Ratna Prabha, and G Sathya Kumar are the front-runners. They have been serving as the face of the BJP in AP and can put up a strong fight in the Lok Sabha elections, along with the support of the alliance vote transfer proposition. But they are seen as TDP sympathizers in BJP.
On the other hand, we have Somu Veerraju, Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, and GVL Narasimha Rao, who also enjoy a commanding position in AP BJP. Unlike their other counterparts in BJP, these leaders are seen as YSR Congress sympathizers.
Even internally amongst the AP BJP core group, candidates are divided into TDP-BJP group and YCP-BJP group based on their affiliations. In case the triangular alliance is confirmed, the chances are that many of the TDP-BJP leaders could secure the tickets, considering they will have TDP and JSP lobbying for them. But at the same time, the YCP-affiliated group, as mentioned above also enjoys a commanding position in the party. So we should see who will get most importance when it comes to ticket allotment.
