The election season has started to grip Andhra Pradesh with the state bracing for what can be considered its most intense and hard-fought polling since its formation. With so much at stake, people are eagerly waiting for an update on the polling date and counting date. This has led to multiple unverified reports on the crucial dates regarding the election.
One such report that has been trending on social platforms is that Andhra Pradesh election notification will be out on March 12th and the polling will be held on April 19th, with the counting on May 22nd. This unverified report started to trend a lot on social media with many starting to think it is the official memo from the EC.
However, the EC has denounced these reports by definitively confirming that the memo that is being spread on social platforms with the polling and counting days imprinted on it is fake.
“A fake message is being shared on Whats app regarding the schedule for #LokSabhaElections2024. The message is Fake. No dates have been announced so far by #ECI. Election Schedule is announced by the Commission through a press conference.” EC tweeted and confirmed that there is no truth in these social media posts. But the wait won’t be too long for an official update as the EC is likely to issue the notification with the crucial dates in a week.
