Certain tough calls have to be taken by Telugu Desam and Janasena after the formation of the triangular alliance. One such tough sacrifice that Janasena had to make is relocating Kandula Durgesh from Rajahmundry Rural to Nidadavole.
Durgesh was the favorite to get the Rajahmundry Rural ticket on Janasena’s behalf, but the equation changed after the alliance with TDP was announced. The sitting MLA from here, Butchaiah Chowdary, a TDP veteran was adamant about giving away the ticket to JSP so he persisted on this matter and finally managed to keep ahold of the ticket for the 2024 election.
Janasena has officially announced today that Kandula Durgesh has been given the Nidadavole MLA ticket. The efforts of Butchaiah have succeeded as he managed to keep the Rajahmundry Rural ticket with him while Kandula Durgesh, who was initially gutted by the sacrifice has been pacified by the Janasena high command and has been relocated to Nidadavole. We could see more such cases in both the parties as the seat distribution discussions continue.
