Andhra Pradesh is to go to polls in around a month and the election season has well and truly started in the state. With the polls fast approaching, CM Jagan has taken a big decision to disqualify two of his party MLCs on disciplinary grounds.
With immediate effect, YSR Congress has disqualified two MLCs C. Ramachandraiah and Vamsi Krishna Yadav. The chairperson of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council Moshen Raju issued the disqualification order upon the prompt from the AP government.
After receiving notices for disciplinary action, the two MLCs approached the High Court against this move, but the council acted quickly and disqualified both of them even before the court’s verdict.
Ramachandraiah quit YCP and joined TDP recently while Vamsi Yadav went into Janasena.
This MLC disqualification comes just days after Assembly Speaker Seetharam disqualified 8 MLAs.
