Samajwadi Party chief and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav condemned the arrest of BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha, in connection with the multi-crore Delhi Liquor scam. Kavitha’s arrest is illegal, he said.
Yadav is the first leader from the INDIA bloc to condemn Kavitha’s arrest.
Yadav took to X and posted that the BJP was fearing rout in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and hence, targeting the opposition parties.
However, he said that the BJP would lose heavily if the attacks on opposition parties increased. The public would teach a befitting lesson to the BJP for targeting the opposition parties, he said.
Akhilesh Yadav posted on social media platform ‘X’ “Targeting the opposition due to fear of defeat is a symbol of BJP’s desperation. The bigger the attack on the opposition, the bigger will be its defeat.”
Yadav tagged his tweet to the BRS Party and Kavita’s office.
Rajya Sabha member Priyanka Chaturvedi also condemned Kavitha’s arrest.
