BRS sitting MP from Chevella, Dr Ranjith Reddy, announced his resignation today from the part, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections scheduled to take place in the coming months. There were rumors that many politicians from BRS were planning to quit the party. Ranjith’s exit comes as a big loss to the party.
Surprisingly, Ranjith Reddy resigned from the party right after the party leadership announced that Kasani Gnaneshwar would contest for parliament from Chevella.
Taking to his X profile, Ranjith Reddy thanked the party for giving him the opportunity to serve the people of his constituency.
“I’m writing to inform all my supporters and people that I have submitted the formal letter of resignation to @BRSparty I would like to convey my gratitude to the BRS party for the meaningful opportunity provided & the cooperation extended in my service to the people of Chevella constituency. Due to evolving political circumstances, I have made this difficult decision to submit my resignation,” he said in a post on X.
