YSR Congress announced its candidates for 24/25 Lok Sabha constituencies yesterday. The only Lok Sabha segment that YCP didn’t announce is the Anakapalle MP seat and here is an inside talk regarding this only seat that YCP has kept on hold.
According to the talk internally, BJP’s CM Ramesh is likely to contest from the Anakapalle constituency and he is nearly confirmed to secure the MP ticket on behalf of the alliance.
Reportedly, the YCP high command intends to field a financially sound candidate to take on CM Ramesh from Anakapalle and that’s one of the main reasons why this constituency was kept on hold in yesterday’s announcement.
The YCP high command reportedly turned down the request from Anakapalle sitting MP Venkatasatyavati to retain the ticket. The search is on to find a suitable candidate with enough financial resources to take on a wealthy candidate like CM Ramesh.
CM Ramesh will have surplus financial backing and also the support of the alliance parties, so the YCP high command intends to pick the right contestant against him.
