The alliance between the TDP, JSP and BJP has increased dissent among the seat aspirants of all the three parties and the Jana Sena is no exception. The JSP leadership is also facing a tough time trying to pacify them. Several leaders expressed their intention on contesting the elections and the party chief Pawan Kalyan also promised to issue tickets to them.
However, the tripartite alliance made all these plans topsy turvy. The condition has reached to such an extent where party senior leader and Pawan Kalyan’s brother Nagababu himself had to sacrifice his seat.
However, the aspirant from Vijayawada West is posing a trouble as he declared that he would contest as an independent after being denied a ticket. Initially, Pawan Kalyan promised to give Pothina Venkata Mahesh the Vijayawada West ticket but it has to be relinquished as part of seat sharing. Despite being pacified by Pawan Kalyan, he could not reconcile and made it clear that he would contest as an independent.
Mahesh’s followers also staged protests demanding that their leader should be allocated the ticket. They even worshipped to the Gods seeking divine intervention to change Pawan’s thoughts and review his decision. Reportedly, they broke 108 coconuts at a temple and are holding Atmeeya sabhas seeking a positive response from the party chief.
Meanwhile, political observers said that the only thing remaining at this juncture is Mahesh’s suspension from the party.
