Pothina Goes On Hunger Strike To Get Janasena Ticket

Though the majority of the seat allocation has been amicably sorted by Telugu Desam, Janasena, and BJP, there are a few select seats that are causing a headache. One such seat is Vijayawada West which has intense competition between JSP and BJP.

JSP’s Pothina Mahesh is adamant about losing the Vijayawada West ticket and he has launched an indefinite hunger strike to show that he is ready to go to any extent to get the JSP ticket here. He is saying he has been doing the groundwork here for the last 5 years and only he can defeat YCP here and no other candidate from the alliance can better his performance.

But the BJP has been considering the financially sound Sujana Chowdary for the Vijayawada West constituency. His name is nearly finalized by the BJP and he is on the verge of being announced as the candidate.

On one hand, there is Pothina Mahesh who is on a hunger strike and on the other, we have Sujana Chowdary who has a deeper pocket and could efficiently fund his campaign. Who will end up getting the desired ticket?
