Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender has shifted his loyalties to the Congress giving a rude shock to the BRS party. Venting out his frustration, KTR vowed to knock on the doors of the Supreme Court to announce Danam’s election as disqualification as he changed the political party. He asked the BRS leaders and cadre to brace up for the by-election in Khairatabad. KTR said that Danam would be defeated in Secunderabad and he would be taught a lesson by the people.
Responding to KTR, Danam stated that anyone can approach the Supreme Court in a democracy. He countered by stating that he would win as Secunderabad MP on the Congress ticket and that he himself would voluntarily resign from his Khairatabad MLA position. With a lot of confidence, Danam said he will as MP and he would resign as MLA in June.
In a simple and sharp counter, Danam reminisced how the BRS had taken MLAs of Congress in the past. “What you had done in the power became right and exactly how it became wrong?” asked Danam.
Meanwhile, GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi has met Danam and she is all set to join the Congress. Amidst this backdrop, Danam stated that the elected public representatives and leaders have no value in the BRS. He also stressed that there is no due protocol in the BRS. Danam hinted that senior BRS leader KK would also follow suit and return to the Congress fold soon. He said all the disgruntled BRS leaders would join the Congress.
Beleaguered BRS is battling with a slew of issues including Kavitha’s arrest by the ED in connection with the Delhi Liquor Policy scam case. It is struggling to keep its party’s leaders.
