The Jana Sena which is already facing criticism for not having increased its bargaining power in the allocation of seats, as part of the alliance, is likely to lose one more seat.
Initially, the JSP took 24 seats from the TDP but later sacrificed three seats, as part of seat sharing, taking its count to 21.
Though allocated 21 seats, the JSP announced candidates for only 18 seats.
Even while candidates for the remaining three seats are yet to be announced, the BJP is asking for one more seat as part of the alliance and obviously, the buck stops at the Jana Sena.
It is learnt that the BJP bigwigs even called up Pawan to discuss the same issue, thus likely to take the JSP count to 20.
In fact, the BJP which joined the TDP-JSP coalition asked for 10 Assembly seats. It had not declared the names of candidates from these constituencies but is asking for one more seat.
It is learnt that AP elections in-charge and BJP senior leader Arun Singh held a meeting with the state leaders during which the discussion about one more seat was raised.
Further, there is information that the BJP is asking for Rajampet in Kadapa district or Tamballapalle in Chittoor district.
