For the past couple of days, YSRCP’s Singanamala Assembly candidate Veeranjaneyulu’s name has been hitting the headlines. While the ruling party claims that the party has given the ticket to a poor and tipper driver, TDP alleged that the ticket was given to a “dummy” to hold power in their wrists. This kicked up a furore as both the TDP and YSRCP engaged in a war of words on Veeranjaneyulu’s candidacy.
Opposition leader and TDP chief Chandrababu alleged that the Jagan gives Singanamala ticket to a Tipper driver who is “dummy” person to benefit themselves. comments have struck chords with TDP cadres and went viral in no time. This made CM Jagan to respond on this topic at the Memantha Siddham event. Jagan said YSRCP is pro-poor and that is why his party chose a tipper driver. Jagan stated that Veeranjaneyulu has done MA in Economics and completed a B.E.D.
Jagan said, “Veeranjaneyulu’s qualification is bigger than Chandrababu’s qualification. After passing MA in Economics and B.E.D, he became a lorry driver in Chandrababu’s government whereas, under my governance, I gave him Singanamala MLA ticket,” said Jagan at Memantha Siddham public meeting the other day.
This turned into a social media debate between pro-TDP and pro-YCP activists.
