Nandamuri Suhasini paid a courtesy call to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and spent a few minutes speaking with him, which has raised speculation that she is likely to join the Congress in the next few days.
With many people who have met Revanth Reddy joining the Congress within a few days of their encounter, expectations are high that the woman leader will also follow suit.
Ahead of the general elections, she met Revanth Reddy in the presence of Congress AP affairs in-charge Deepadas Munshi, Minister Konda Surekha, and MLC Patnam Mahender Reddy.
The first woman from the Nandamuri family to venture into politics is D. Purandeswari, the AP BJP chief. Currently, Nandamuri Suhasini serves as the vice president of Telangana TDP. Suhasini is the daughter of former minister and NTR’s eldest son, Nandamuri Harikrishna.
In 2018, she entered politics by joining the TDP and even contested on the party ticket from the Kukatpally constituency. Her uncle and actor Nandamuri Balakrishna also campaigned on her behalf during that time. However, she suffered defeat. Despite this, she has earned a special place in the hearts of TDP and Nandamuri fans. Her regular presence at party meetings and her approach towards TDP leaders make her stand out.
The meeting with Revanth Reddy may have been just a courtesy call, or she may indeed join their party; only time will tell. If she does, TDP and Nandamuri fans across the state will be disappointed.
