In an unexpected event, the Dharmavaram assembly ticket was given to BJP’s Satya Kumar over the locally dominant Paritala Sriram. This decision came after Sriram contested and lost from Rapthadu in 2019. But despite not getting the Dharmavaram ticket as a part of the alliance seat distribution, Sriram hasn’t lashed out at the alliance and has maintained a matured stance.
For the first time after the announcement of Satya Kumar as Dharmavaram candidate, Paritala Sriram has made a public appearance and he had a mature comment.
Sriram said he isn’t the kind of leader who would flee Dharmavaram just because he didn’t get the ticket. He confirmed that he will continue to be by the TDP cadres locally and fight for the public no matter if he gets the ticket or not. He called his supporters and TDP workers to work hard for Satya Kumar’s victory in Dharmavaram.
The Paritala firebrand asserted that Sriram back in 2019 is different from the current day Sriram, implying that he is much more mellowed down and sufficiently experienced now. He vowed to fight for Satya Kumar in the electoral race from Dharmavaram.
While a few TDP leaders, including Prabhakar Chowdary in the same Anantapur district are holding rebellions for not getting tickets, TDP cadres are delighted to see Sriram acting in a matured manner. He has put the collective interests of the alliance over his own interests.
