Former YCP MP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju launched a legal battle against his own party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He filed a case at the Supreme Court asking for an expedited trial on Jagan’s disproportionate assets case and also filed a plea to transfer the case from Telangana to another state.
In the latest hearing on the case today, the Supreme Court bench, chaired by Justice Sanjeev Khanna asked the CBI why there is a delay in the investigation of Jagan’s cases. The court asked the CBI to file an affidavit on the investigation process in four weeks.
The Supreme Court ordered the CBI not to stretch out the case just because Jagan is a politician and a chief minister. The next hearing has been scheduled for the designated week following August 5th.
The Solicitor General on behalf of the CBI argued that the multiple discharge petitions that are being filed through the course of the investigation is the reason why the case is taking longer than intended.
On this matter, Raghu Rama Krishna Raju said Jagan Mohan Reddy had already gotten 3000 postponement adjourns on his court cases and it is about time that he faces the legal consequences.
