There is just a month to go for the polling in Andhra Pradesh and we are still seeing cases of leaders leaving one party to join another party. One such case is seen in Kurnool as KE Prabhakar, who has been an influential leader for Telugu Desam in this segment is set to join the ruling party YSR Congress. KE Prabhakar is none other than TDP senior leader KE Krishnamurthy.
KE Prabhakar is regarded as a firebrand leader in the Telugu Desam Party and he operates in Dhone and Srisailam segments of Kurnool district. He used to fight tooth and nail against YSR Congress senior leader and Dhone MLA, Buggana Rajendranath Reddy.
But the internal problem for Prabhakar has been that he was always seen as No. 2 in Telugu Desam behind his elder brother Krishnamurthy. So, his desire to get an MLA or MP ticket in Kurnool went unnoticed, and at the same time, Chandrababu gave Pathikonda MLA ticket to Krishnamurthy’s son Shyam Babu, which agitated him further.
The flash reports from Telugu media portals is that KR Prabhakar who has already distanced himself from TDP activities could be joining YSR Congress very soon. This impact could be felt not just in Dhone and Srisailam but the entire Kurnool parliamentary segment, commented a seasoned observer from Kurnool.
