With the general elections round the corner, the debate over which party would clinch the victory is also intensifying among the electorate.
The ruling YCP and opposition TDP have been trying to project that highly educated youth and women have been given importance while fielding candidates.
As part of the party’s strategy, the YCP fielded Tirupati MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy’s son Abhinay Reddy, Chandragiri MLA Cheivireddy Bhaskar Reddy’s son Mohit Reddy, Bandar MLA Perni Nani’s son Krishna Murthy, Ramachandrapuram MLA Pilli Subash’s son Surya Prakash, Guntur East MLA Mustafa’s daughter Fatima.
Except for Guntur and Bandar, political prospects in Chandragiri, Tirupati and Ramachandrapuram are not that encouraging.
Meanwhile, the TDP fielded Kovur MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy’s wife Prasanthi Reddy, Satya Prabha, wife of Varapula Raja who passed away recently, from Prathipadu, former MLA Kurugondla Ramakrishna’s daughter Lakshmi Priya from Venkatagiri, Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy’s son Sudheer Reddy from Srikalahasti, Puttha Narasimha Reddy’s on Chaitanya Reddy from Kamalapuram, Palle Raghunadha Reddy’s daughter-in-law Sindhura Reddy from Puttaparthy, former MLA Kandikunta Prasad’s wife Yashoda Devi from Kadiri.
All the seniors are happy that their descendants have been given importance and the candidates are busy campaigning and trying to woo the electorate but we will have to wait and watch whom would they prefer in the upcoming elections.
