The Mangalagiri constituency is one of the most debated segments in all of Andhra Pradesh as it has Nara Lokesh in the contest. Lokesh’s nomination was filed by BJP, TDP, and JSP leaders on his behalf and this rally had over 10,000 members in attendance.
After seeing Lokesh’s mega nomination rally, the ruling party YSR Congress which fielded Murugudu Lavanya took up their own nomination rally very prestigiously and held it in an extravagant manner. The most interesting sighting here is former Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy who exhibited unusually high josh.
Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, the two-time MLA from Mangalagiri on YCP’s behalf was seen clapping, whistling, and aggressively gesturing towards the YCP cadres while partaking in Lavanya’s campaign.
The strange case of Alla Ramakrishna Reddy is that despite being two-time MLA from YCP, he distanced himself from the party before the 2024 election. He didn’t even invite CM Jagan Mohan Reddy to his son’s wedding despite holding the marriage ceremony just kilometers away from CM’s residence.
More seriously, he quit YCP and joined Sharmila’s Congress just a few months ago and claimed that he is even ready to fight a legal battle against Jagan’s disproportionate assets. But all of a sudden, he returned to YCP and took up the party activity supervision duties in Mangalagiri. Today, he was seen gesturing aggressively in support of YCP candidate Lavanya.
In a span of three months, Alla went from hating Jagan’s YCP to adoring Sharmila to again building love for Jagan and returning to YCP and now, aggressively campaigning for YCP candidate Lavanya. His unstable swings are said to be confusing even local YCP cadres.
