BRS president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is still unable to come to terms with his party’s loss in the recently held Assembly elections. His statement that nearly 20 Congress MLAs are in touch with his party has taken not just the BRS party activists but the general public too by surprise.
Soon they doubted if KCR was daydreaming about the Congress MLAs getting in touch with him, even when the BRS was defeated in the Assembly polls.
KCR, once known for his sharp words and vitriolic attacks on his rivals, apparently seems to be stooping to low levels just to keep the party cadre intact. In a bid to prevent the increasing exodus from the BRS to the ruling Congress and to instill confidence among the party leaders, KCR in his latest meeting left them jaw-dropping, making the sensational statement that 20 Congress MLAs are in touch with the BRS.
The BRS party activists are wondering why would anyone leave the ruling Congress to join their party which is in fact facing an existential threat. Moreover, many of the surveys also predicted a rout to the BRS in the upcoming general elections.
