The ongoing battle between CM Jagan-led AP state government and Ramoji Rao group’s Margadarshi Chit Fund Pvt Ltd needs no special introduction. While Margadarshi has been alleging of a political witchhunt and personal vendetta against them from CM Jagan, the AP state government allege some serious fraud.
Amidst this backdrop, a shocking revelation has come out that Minister and YSRCP leader RK Roja is a “loyal customer” of Ramoji’s Margadarshi Chit Fund. Roja filed her nomination for the Nagari Assembly constituency and in her election affidavit she confided about her chit in Margadarshi worth Rs 39.21 lakh. She also has another chit worth Rs 32.9 lakh with another chit fund company.
As per Roja’s election affidavit, her assets grew by 81 lakh from 2019 and currently stood at 10.69 crore. Her movable assets grew drastically. From 6 cars and 2 bikes in 2019, Roja currently owns 9 cars in her fleet, including a luxury Mercedes Benz she gifted to her son. Roja’s husband RK Selvamani has bought 6.39 acres land during this tenure.
