All the star politicians of Andhra Pradesh have submitted their affidavits with today being the final day for the filing of nominations. Now that the affidavits are out, here is a comparison between the statistics presented by the likes of Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chandrababu Naidu, and Pawan Kalyan.
Coming to the number of cars owned, interestingly, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy said he doesn’t own a single car. He mentioned in his affidavit that he doesn’t own any cars, much to the surprise of everyone. On the other hand, he has 26 cases against him, which is the highest for any top-league politician in AP.
Coming to Chandrababu, he has 1 car registered in his name, an old Ambassador. Again, a 14-year CM having just an ambassador car on his name is amusing. He has 24 cases against him.
Then we have Pawan Kalyan who mentioned in his affidavit that he has 9 cars in his name. The list includes a Range Rover and a swanky Maybach car, apart from the Mahindras which are used for security. The much-celebrated Varahi vehicle isn’t on his name. He has 8 cases against him.
In the case of Jagan Mohan Reddy and Chandrababu, who alternatingly held opposition leader and CM status, are provided with a government security fleet and convoy so there is no need to own private cars. That could be why they have no cars registered in their names.
