It is a very common trend in politics for leaders to use their resignation saga as a false sense of bravado. We usually see the opposition MLAs challenging to resign their MLA post if the ruling party completes any big-league project or substantial electoral promise before the deadline. But this accounts for very little in the end as not many politicians have resigned for this reason.
But in the case of BRS firebrand, Harish Rao the situation is proving to be different as he has started to walk the streets with his resignation letter in hand.
For those who aren’t up to pace with what’s happening, CM Revanth Reddy promised to complete the farmer loan waiver scheme by the 15th of August at any cost. In response, Harish Rao said he is ready to resign his Siddipet MLA post if Revanth-led Congress really completes the loan waiver and its other six electoral promises by 15 August.
Not just the motto, but Harish Rao is actually walking the talk as he reached as he reached the Telangana movement statues in front of the assembly with the resignation letter in his hand. He is challenging to resign the MLA post if Revanth actually completes the loan waiver and the six other pre-poll promises by the set deadline.
CM Revanth has confidently assured his cares and the Telangana public that the loan waiver will be implemented by 15 August at any cost. Once this is met, will Harish really stand by his word and quit his post? We will know tha answer only in August.
