Earlier today, the Election commission delivered a sucker punch to JanaSena by making the party’s dedicated glass tumbler a free symbol that can be used by any candidate in the constituencies that JSP is not contesting.
This opens space for political candidates to illicitly benefit from the JSP branding and the hardwork that is put in by JSP cadres to propagate the glass symbol. We already have an exploiter of this concept and surprisingly, it is a Telugu actress who is on the receiving end.
The actress in question is young Telugu beauty Sahithi Dasara who is contesting from Chevella parliamentary constituency in the Telangana elections. She is contesting as an independent candidate from Chevella.
Sahithi who was recently seen in Polimera 2 has tweeted that she has been accorded the glass tumbler symbol and requested the voters to encourage her. The existing branding of the glass symbol will help Sahithi with her election campaign in Chevella now.
We could see more such cases of the glass tumbler symbol getting exploited by individual candidates.
