IAS Shares Bad Experience Of ‘AP Land Titling Act’

Published by

The Land Titling Act has become a political issue in Andhra Pradesh state that is all set for elections next week.

While the opposition slams the ruling party over the Land Titling Act and its cons, the YSRCP initially retaliated but was caught in its trap.

While YSRCP threw the blame on the Centre and continues to defend its role. However, a well-known former IAS officer PV Ramesh gave a rude shock to YSRCP by stating that he himself is a victim of AP’s Land Titling Act.

Taking to social media, PV Ramesh explained his ordeal while transferring his ancestral property in his name. Ramesh said he is facing difficulty in transferring his late parents’ property located in Krishna district’s Vinnukota village when he had applied for Mutation.

He said the local Tahsildar has rejected his application for Land Mutation. He further stated that the local RDO turned down his appeal sent via post without even opening it.

PV Ramesh expressed his pain stating that this is a sad situation for him after working as an IAS officer in the state for over 36 years. Ramesh said his own parents’ property is not allowed for transfer even before the law came into force. He said one can imagine the situation of farmers in the state.

Ramesh’s social media post has gone viral in no time and received support from several neutral netizens for sharing his personal ordeal and experience related to the Land Titling Act. Ramesh being vocal about the problems of the Land Titling Act is being welcomed by intellectuals too.
