Within two days, we are likely to see the official ‘exit polls’ from some trusted political observers, media houses and other survey agencies. Even before anything is official, some hardcore fans of the Janasena Party have triggered a sort of ‘nameplate’ war in the hot and happening Pithapuram constituency.
Some fans have started to add nameplates like “Pithapuram MLA Taalooka” and some wrote like “Kakinada MP Taalooka”, hinting at the names of Pawan Kalyan and Tea Time Uday. Immediately some fans of YSRCP have come up with ‘nameplate’ designs like “Pithapuram MLA Vanga Geetha Taalooka” and others. Jumping into the scene quite hilariously, the Telugudesam Party took it next level by posting the photo of a bike with the nameplate ‘Baabai ni Lepinodi Taalooka’, and called that the bike that belongs to YCP politician Avinash Reddy. They have even added a symbol of ‘axe’ to the nameplate, indicating the infamous Vivekananda Reddy murder case.
These happenings led to much other creativity on social media with everyone designing their own digital nameplate in Photoshop and other image-generation software. But the fact is that any of these nameplates, if used in real life, would invite fine and seizing of the vehicle too. As per the Motor Vehicle Act of 1989’s Rule 50&51, we have to carry only a registration number on the nameplate of a vehicle but nothing else.
