Is the YS Jagan government all set to arrest TV5 journalist Murthy anytime soon? Well, the latest buzz among journalist circles suggests so.
Ever since the news of AP Police filing a case on Murthy made a splash on the internet last night, Jagan’s detractors have been standing in solidarity with Murthy by trending the hashtag #WeSupportTV5Murthy.
For the last few weeks, ever since the Coronavirus pandemic broke out in Andhra Pradesh, the Murthy-led TV5 has been airing some viral reports from ground zero.
Murthy has been a strong critique of the Jagan sarkar’s callousness in dealing with the virus infected patients and implementation of preventive measures.
Murthy’s primetime debates on Jagan’s administrative abilities during the pandemic have been a hit with the audience. In fact, TV5 has even begun climbing up the ranks in the BARC TV Ratings.
In the past, there were reports that the Jagan government had allegedly taken down TV5 off the AP Fibrenet telecast.
