Over the last five years, senior IPS officer AB Venkateswara Rao has been at crossroads with the YSR Congress-led AP government. The YCP government approached the high court challenging CAT’s decision to lift the suspension on ABV. But the Court turned this attempt from the YCP government down, which meant Venkateswara Rao is bound to get reinstated.
The latest news is that the government of Andhra Pradesh has finally reinstated AB Venkateswara Rao and given him an official posting. He was appointed as AP Printing and Stationary Deputy General.
However, coincidentally, AB Venkateswara Rao is retiring today as his tenure is coming to an end. He is set to retire from his position later in the day today.
After an intense tussle with the AP government for the last few years, AB Venkateswara Rao finally managed to get reinstated on official duties but it happens to be his last day at office.
