BRS chief and former CM KCR has shot off an open letter to incumbent Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. As KCR got an invite to the Telangana State Formation Day, KCR sent a 22-page letter to Revanth on various issues.
He found fault with Revanth and the Congress government’s alleged projection of Telangana state formation as Congress’s donation to the Telangana people. He said he strongly objecting and protesting against such ideology of Congress.
In the long letter, KCR recalled how the Telangana movement was several decades-long people’s movement and the sacrifices of a lot of martyrs. KCR said the people of Telangana stood for the statehood and Congress delayed the statehood for so long resulting in the loss of lives of so many martyrs.
KCR went on to state his government’s achievements including Rythu Bandhu and stood up for farmers even in tough times like the Covid-19 pandemic when the state’s revenue got hit badly. He criticised Revanth and his government for failing promises.
KCR mentioned these reasons and stated that he wouldn’t attend the state government’s programme of Telangana State Formation Day.
Meanwhile, Telangana BJP criticised CM Revanth Reddy for not inviting the BJP that supported the Telangana statehood and part of the creation of the Telangana state in Parliament. Let’s wait and see, what would be CM Revanth Reddy’s response to KCR’s open letter.
