From being just another constituency in the Palnadu region, Macherla has quickly become a hotshot assembly segment, owing to its 4-term MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy.
After the video of Pinnelli dissipating an EVM went viral, he has been facing endless legal consequences and the High Court has even ordered him not to go to Macherla on 4 June.
Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy looks unsettled by the legal curtails surrounding him so he approached the Supreme Court with the intention of seeking permission to go to the counting center in Macherla on the day of counting. However, he was met with sheer disappointment as the Supreme Court dismissed his case.
The Supreme Court didn’t just strike down Pinnelli’s case, it even reprimanded the High Court for providing him with anticipation bail which in itself is against the legal tropes.
The Supreme Court ordered Pinnelli to not even get close to the counting centers or reach even the vicinity on the day of counting. This should be a huge legal complication for Pinnelli who had been winning Macherla for the last 20 years.
From being a long-standing MLA, Pinnelli is not even able to enter his own constituency on the counting day as a result of his objectionable actions.
