The early trends indicate a clear lead to the TDP in the Assembly and Parliamentary elections. TDP is leading in Kadapa and Mydurkuru, from where it is has not won in the last 20 years. Pawan Kalyan is leading with 4,350 votes from Pithapuram after second round of counting. It is expected he would lead by 50,000 votes. TDP’s Adireddy Vasu leading in Rajahmundry city Assembly constituency.

TDP is leading in Srikakulam, Pathapatnam, Icchapuram, Palasa, Palamaneru and Kuppam MLA constituencies.

In Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s native district Mahabubnagar, BJP’s DK Aruna is leading.

— Nellore City MP constituency: P. Narayana is leading against YCP’s Khaleel Ahmed in EVM counting.

— In Kuppam, Nara Chandrababu Naidu is leading with 1549 postal ballots in the initial count.

— In the first round in Andhra Pradesh, Butchaiah chowdary from Rajahmundry leads in first round against Minister Chelluboyina Venu.

The keenly anticipated electoral counting process has commenced in Andhra Pradesh with the start of the postal ballot counting. The postal ballots counting started at 8 AM and this could take more time than anticipated as a record 5.4 lakh such votes were polled this year, which is the highest-ever tally. 

Immediately after the postal ballots are wrapped up, the counting of the EVM votes will begin and this could be starting any minute after 8:30 AM.
