Hyderabad parliamentary constituency is one of the biggest in the state, and two prominent leaders are contesting the poll. The sitting MP, Asaduddin Ovaisi, is contesting against BJP candidate Kompella Madhavi Latha. Surprisingly, Madhavi Latha is trailing in the election.
The constituency, which has been Asaduddin Owaisi’s bastion since 2004, went to polls on May 13 in the fourth phase. The constituency comprises assembly constituencies, including Yakutpura, Chandrayangutta, Malakpet, Charminar, Karwan, Bahadurpura, and Goshamahal.
Madhavi Latha campaigned aggressively ahead of the election and was also criticized for her approach. She even cited that AIMIM party leaders influenced the voters and deleted the names of some voters from the electro rolls.
However, today, Madhavi Latha is on the verge of losing. Despite her desperation to secure the victory in the election, she has not proved her worth in winning the support of people.
The following is the poll trend in Hyderabad.
Asaduddin leads by 34508 votes.
Polled Votes for Ovaisi: 1,52,307
Polled votes for Madhavi Latha:1,17,799
Polled votes for Mohd Waliullah Sameer: 15,794 (INC)
