Former Rajyasabha MP and YS Jagan’s close aide Vijay Sai Reddy, who contested as MP from Nellore constituency this time, reacted on the humiliating drubbing handed over to the YSRCP by the people of Andhra Pradesh in the assembly elections of 2024. Speaking to the media just a while ago, Sai Reddy said the party will fully accept the people’s mandate and the reasons for the outright rejection will be thoroughly analysed by their chief Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Vijay Sai Reddy is the first prominent leader from the YSRCP to react over the shocking mandate in the assembly and the parliament elections. He said every political party in democracy should accept and respect the defeat and move forward to analyse the reasons for the pathetic performance. He added that a detailed review will be taken up for each constituency to analyse the reasons behind the defeat.
Meanwhile, Vijay Sai Reddy is trailing by close to 3 lakh votes from Nellore Loksabha against Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy of Telugu Desam Party. His candidature was announced in the last minute from Nellore segment as it was his home district. Unfortunately, he is likely to be defeated by a huge margin.
Vijay Sai Reddy was one of the accused in the disproportionate cases of Jagan Mohan Reddy and also served in the jail for several months before coming out on bail. He served as the incharge of Visakhapatnam parliament segment for YSRCP.
