Volunteer Commits Suicide After Kodali Nani’s Defeat

The YSRCP leaders and its supporters accepted the ignominious defeat in the hands of NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh. Out of all those losing YSRCP contestants, the one who is going to bear the brunt of these results is none other than former Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani who was routed cheaply by TDP leader Veligandla Ramu by a difference of 50000 votes. Nani was a firebrand leader who often abused TDP leaders in an aggressive manner.

While the party cadre is grieving the unexpected debacle, another heartbreaking news came in the form of a suicide by a volunteer. Unable to digest the news about Kodali Nani’s defeat, a volunteer named Pitta Anil committed suicide in his house. Anil worked as volunteer in YSRCP’s government. He hails from Saidepudi village in Gudivada rural segment.

The resounding mandate won by the NDA alliance in the assembly elections of Andhra Pradesh came as a big surprise to not just the political analysts but also to the supporters of all parties. While almost all prominent leaders of TDP and Janasena parties secured thumping majorities, the bigwigs of YSRCP barring YS Jagan were defeated in these elections.
