KCR’s PM Ambitions Shattered: A Zero-Seat Reality

Bharatha Rashtra Samithi was Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the past. After changing the party’s name, the party seems to have lost its ground. They lost the general election and lost the power. Now, shockingly in the parliament elections, the party lost deposits in many of the constituencies where they had grip on.

Except in Mahabubnagar and Khammam, BRS lost the deposits in all the other parliament elections in Telangana. Even in Medak, where KCR contested for parliament in the past, the party tasted a defeat and ended up with the third position.

BRS party has faced a lot of setbacks in the recent past. After losing the Assembly elections, the party hoped to win back the people’s mandate at least in the parliament elections. But, they have secured zero seats in the election.

Even Janasena party in Andhra Pradesh managed to win parliament seats. It is the first time that BRS will not be representing themselves in the parliament and KCR will have to come up with new strategies to strengthen the party all over.

Everyone thinks it is because of KCR that the Telangana has formed but most of his party leaders resorted to corruption and took the people’s mandate for granted in the recent past, resulting in such a humiliating defeat.
