Chandrababu Naidu, along with Pawan Kalyan, and BJP swept Andhra Pradesh in such a way that the state doesn’t even have an opposition leader. The margin of win and the subsequent prominence gained by Naidu in national politics is such that the world-famous New York Times has presented a new story on Naidu and his importance in Indian politics.
Describing Naidu in their new column, the New York Times wrote, Mr. Naidu of the T.D.P., based in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh, is a technocrat who has aggressively pushed for investment from information technology companies in his region. His policies helped bring high-paying jobs for I.T. professionals and transformed the city of Hyderabad.
This meticulously highlights Naidu’s eccentric IT-oriented drive and the consequent development of Hyderabad which is now on track to become a world-class capital.
The column adds that Naidu is now one of the few men who can make of break Modi’s government at the center. From being ragged by Jagan in the assembly that Naidu is the opposition leader of AP upon his mercy, Chandrababu is now a kingmaker in Indian politics and has a special feature in the NY Times. Even a KGF would fall short of this oora mass elevation.
