In Talk: Reddys Resigning From Government Posts

There was one major complaint against former CM of AP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy which was that he was heavily harboring Reddy community leaders around him. The majority of the government and cabinet-level positions were filled with Reddy individuals.

But now that the YSR Congress government has been uprooted from power, there is a big exodus of Reddy community leaders from government positions.

Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy resigned from the special government advisor post yesterday. Bhumana Karunakar Reddy resigned as TTD president. Thumma Vijay Kumar Reddy resigned as I & PR secretary. AP Council of Higher Education Chairman Hema Chandra Reddy has also resigned.

Additional Advocate General Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy who led the AP government’s case against Chandrababu Naidu also stepped down from his position. AP Public Prosecutor, Yarramreddy Nagireddy, and Additional Public Prosecutor Dushyanth Reddy have also quit their positions.

The irony is that all these Reddy community leaders who held top positions in the Jagan Mohan Reddy government are submitting their resignation to Chief Secretary Jawakar Reddy, who is a Reddy himself.
