After handing over a crushing blow to Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP in the recent assembly elections, Chandra Babu Naidu grabbed the headlines all over because he turned out to be a kingmaker at the centre as the BJP led NDA wouldn’t have returned to power at the centre without the support of TDP and Janasena.
He will soon take oath as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the fourth time in his political career. This time, there will be lot of pressure on Naidu to change his style of politics for the next five years. The TDP cadre and its leaders have been suggesting him to change his style of governance and adopt a more aggressive approach while dealing with the Opposition parties as the Telugu Desam Party was at the receiving end from the YSRCP for the last five years.
So, Naidu seems to have decided and go ahead as per the wish of his partymen and supporters. He himself agreed to change his attitude and style of handling various aspects this time. During the meeting with the newly elected MPs earlier today, Naidu has reportedly asserted that they would see never-before-seen approach this time.
He has reportedly told the MPs that he wouldn’t give a free hand to bureaucrats this time and will adopt a more political approach while dealing with the matters in his administration. He also promised to look into every aspect relating to his rule very minutely and take cognisance of the issues in the state. Naidu assured that he will always be available to his MLAs and MPs and asked them to meet him whenever they want. Going by his words, one can except that Naidu 2.0 is loading this time.
The other day, Naidu discussed with MPs regarding the role of TDP and Janasena in the national politics. He asked the elected representatives not to be complacent with the mandate and asked them to prioritise the interests of the state beyond all. He will be accompanied by all MPs to the meeting tomorrow.
