BRS – 0, Golden Chance For Telangana TDP

Telangana TDP

The TDP’s victory in Andhra Pradesh has boosted the energy of the party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu. Further, the TDP won 16 MP seats and the NDA is also giving a prominent role to him at the Centre.

Buoyed by the twin successes, both Naidu and his party cadre are surging ahead with extra enthusiasm and at this crucial junction, the TDP boss has cast focus on reviving the party in Telangana. There is buzz that Naidu is planning to fill the vacuum created by the BRS in Telangana.

At present, the Congress and BJP are competing with each other in Telangana. Though the Congress is occupying a strong position when compared to the BJP, the latter is also putting in sincere efforts to grow on its own in Telangana.

Meanwhile, the BRS is struggling to deal with the double whammy of defeat in the Assembly elections and drawing a blank in the just concluded general polls. In fact, the party is getting decimated.

In this backdrop, TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu is planning to revive the party in Telangana.

The BJP which is already in an alliance with the TDP in Andhra Pradesh, is planning to continue the same in neighbouring Telangana too, as it would put the party in an advantageous position. Naidu also wants the same as it would help his party regain the lost glory.

There is information that Naidu had already met the TDP leaders in Telangana and asked them to take necessary steps for the revival of the party in their state. Many key TDP leaders had deserted the party but Naidu believes that the grassroots cadre is still intact and is planning to send signals of reassurance to them that he is always with them. Naidu is also of the opinion the party leaders who had switched loyalties would also make a comeback in due course of time.

For all this to happen, Naidu is planning to appoint a dedicated party president in Telangana and then chalk out a strategy to give a fresh lease of life to the TDP in Telangana.
