Jagan, From No Appointment To Free Time

Published by

The smashing defeat of the YCP in the recently held Assembly elections has clipped the wings of the party president and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

When in power, there were complaints galore that he does not give appointment to anybody but now, he is speaking to everyone approaching him, due to the extra free time, following the party’s humiliating defeat in the polls.

Soon after winning the elections in 2019, the YCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy built a fort around himself and rarely allowed people other than his coterie enter the restricted zone.

Though he had been mingling with the common public till then, kissing them and cajoling them during his Odarpu Yatra, after his father’s death, the sudden rise to power in 2019 brought out the negative shades in his character and he acted like a dictator.

One can understand the condition of the YCP cadre and common man, if Jagan denied permission to even his own party leaders and ministers. It may be recalled that several party leaders complained about the same in the public and lamented that it is an unhealthy practice.

Now, there is information that no YCP leader is taking any appointment but simply approaching him and that Jagan is giving a patient ear to everybody.

It could be said that Jagan is knowing his real position and has returned to normalcy only after his party faced the crushing defeat in the polls, say political observers.

At times, divine power teaches right lessons to people not able to handle the blessings given to them.
