Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi told the whole of NDA-meeting-attendees that Pawan Kalyan is not just ‘pawan’ (breeze in Hindi) but an Aandhi (Toofaan), the whole nation has been looking at him in awe. As the star hero hasn’t done any Hindi films earlier, surely many of the North Indian politicians and crowds don’t know about him. Then comes this ‘explosive story’ by national media house, Aaj Tak.
After ‘India Today’ lifted Telugu Desam supremo N Chandrababu Naidu to the sky with their special tribute bulletin, now Hindi channel ‘Aaj Tak’, another wing of the India Today group, has aired this special story on Pawan Kalyan. Explaining to the Hindi audience, who is Pawan Kalyan, what is the Konidela family’s legacy, how his films run in theatres and how he happens to be the numero uno star, Aaj Tak gave a ‘biopic’ like an explanatory video about Powerstar.
At the same time, Aaj Tak also explained how Powerstar made the ‘alliance’ between Telugudesam and BJP possible, and how that helped them in the elections, by making sure that the anti-incumbency votes wouldn’t get split, and the TDP+ would win 160+ seats easily. Surely the story is an explosive one and includes the ‘mega homecoming’ visuals of Kalyan where he bowed to his brother Megastar Chiranjeevi.
Needless to say, Andhra politicians have now become the talk of India, and these special bulletins are an example of that.
