Bandi Sanjay’s tireless efforts have earned him a significant reward—a cabinet berth in the Union Ministry. As Narendra Modi takes oath as Prime Minister, Sanjay is set to join the cabinet. He played a pivotal role in strengthening the BJP’s presence in Telangana and challenging the previous KCR government. Rising from a grassroots BJP worker in Telangana, Sanjay now ascends to a central Minister.
Despite the BJP’s setback in the 2023 Assembly elections, their success in the recent Parliament elections secured Sanjay’s cabinet position. Following instructions from Delhi, he visited the Prime Minister’s office to assume his new role.
The state BJP chief, Gangapuram Kishan Reddy, also secured a ministerial position, having served in the cabinet during Modi’s previous tenure.
Sanjay’s strategic efforts contributed to the BJP’s increase in seats in Telangana from 4 to 8. He has also emerged as a prominent leader within the Munnuru Kapu community, while Kishan Reddy represents the Reddy community.
Overall, the BJP aims to ensure Telangana’s representation with two ministries. It remains to be seen if there will be further surprises for the state.
