Andhra Pradesh’s IT ministry has moved from YCP’s much-trolled Gudivada Amarnath to the hardworking and efficient Nara Lokesh. The TDP scion was announced as the new IT minister in the Chandrababu Naidu cabinet today.
On the occasion, Lokesh thanked his father Chandrababu Naidu for presenting him with the opportunity to serve the people of AP by boosting the IT sector.
Rolling back to 2014-19, Lokesh said, ‘I changed the shape of the villages as the Minister of Panchayat Raj, thinking that rural service is above all else. As the Minister of IT and Electronics, I brought many companies and provided job opportunities to the unemployed youth. Now, I will continue the legacy and work harder.’
About working on the 20 lakh jobs promise Lokesh made during the Yuvagalam Yatra, Lokesh said “As a graduate of Stanford, I take the opportunity to strengthen the rural education system and use this sacred responsibility. I will work with the aim of bringing IT and electronics companies to the state and creating jobs for the youth on a large scale.’
Compared to 2014-19, this term is going to be very important for Lokesh as he has a historic mandate from the Mangalagiri people on his back and he will also have to transcend into a bigger leader. He certainly looks determined and inspired to make it all happen.
