Scores of TDP leaders, party workers went through hell under YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government during 2019 to 2024. Many TDP leaders and cadre alleged that YS Jagan-led YSRCP unveiled all-round revenge against them.
Besides TDP Chief and then Opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu, TDP Seniors leaders like Atchannaidu, BTech Ravi, Chintamaneni Prabahakar were arrested and suffered severe humiliation. Former Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad was not spared either.
After undergoing severe insult, Kodela hanged himself, allegedly due to political revenge by the then Jagan government. These are just a tip of the iceberg as there were thousands of incidents of attack, violence, misuse of power. Alleged attack on Raghurama Krishnam Raju is just one example.
Despite all such incidents, TDP’s Chandrababu Naidu who came to power gave clear instructions to the party leaders, party workers to not resort to revenge.
Naidu passed strict orders during his teleconference meeting with Ministers, MLAs, MPs. Chandrababu said the focus is on development and welfare. He stressed that the people bestowed power to the NDA in order to serve them, but not to take any revenge.
However, some TDP leaders were visibly upset with Naidu’s strict discipline and following rules. CM Chandrababu Naidu himself is holding Law and Order.
So, it will be very difficult for any of the TDP leaders to cross the line and everyone has to toe to Naidu’s line. If anyone crosses the line, they are going to pay a hefty price as Naidu doesn’t spare anyone. The internal talk in TDP is that Chandrababu does not change.
Meanwhile, CM Chandrababu has decided to spend more time with the common people. He stated that he would spend quality time with the party cadre and commoners and stay in direct touch with the people, to avoid any gap. That’s Chandrababu Naidu for you!
