There is no debating the fact that Chandrababu Naidu is a stern administrator who keeps the IAS and IPS officers under his command on their feet. After taking charge as the CM for the fourth time, he got furious with the work rate of a few of the IAS officers under the YCP regime and has quickly rejigged the IAS pool in the state.
In a significant development, Chandrababu has transferred out as many as 19 IAS officers, including controversial IAS officer Srilakshmi, and Special Chief Secretary Rajat Bhargava.
While the 17 other IAS officers could get away with just transfers and deputations, Srilakshmi who was controversially reinstated by Jagan was asked to report to the General Administration Department(GAD). This was always on the cards after Naidu was reluctant to even collect the bouquet from Srilakshmi at a recent meet and greet event at the secretariat.
And so has another Special CS Rajat Bhargava who oversaw the excise department which became a mess during the YCP regime. He too is asked to report to GAD.
With this, Chandrababu has completely rehashed the bureaucracy system in AP and brought in informative changes. The new workforce has already been ordered by the government to work in an earnest and transparent manner.
