Andhra Pradesh’s former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is holding multiple retrospective meetings with his party leaders to assess the reasons for the horrific result in the recent assembly election. In one such meeting today, he spoke at length about the recent election, and also what is to come over the course of next five years.
Jagan said the results pained him deeply as he believed he did nothing but good to the people but the mandate was firmly against him and his party. He said he hasn’t yet understood where the love and affection of his beneficiaries went on the polling day.
The ex CM called this electoral verdict just an interval and confidently said YSR Congress will be back and he himself will return like Arjunudu in the 2029 election.
About the coming assembly sessions, Jagan didn’t seem too interested or excited about the same as he seems to have understood that the TDP+ alliance with 164 seats will give him and his party a hard time in the house.
Despite a crushing defeat in this year’s election, Jagan seemed unfazed as he sounded really hopeful of making a big comeback in 2029.
