The newly formulated TDP+ alliance government in Andhra Pradesh is starting the bring makeshift changes in the administrative and law & order departments. After the recent transfer of IAS officers, the new government has transferred the IPS workforce in the state.
The most interesting name in the transfer saga is that of ex-DGP Rajendranath Reddy who is widely regarded as Jagan’s most favorite police top man. Despite the countless allegations from the opposition regarding the questionable situations ahead of the polls, Jagan continued Rajendranath Reddy till the end, before the Election Commission sent him out.
Now, in the new government, ex-DGP Rajendranath Reddy found no place in the law and order enforcement wing. The latest order from the government confirms that the former DGP has been sent to the non-mainstream printing and stationary department.
The printing and stationary department is the least favorite stream for any elite policemen, let alone for a man who served as a DGP earlier.
Another fiery SP, Rishant Reddy who was aggressive in the Jagan regime was asked to report to the DGP. He too might have some explaining to do to the DGP regarding his actions in the TDP tenure. This youngster was a firebrand top cop in the recent years.
