The ex-chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy set foot in the assembly today under circumstances that he wouldn’t have expected in his wildest of dreams. He slipped from being a CM with 151 MLAs on his side, to not even holding opposition leader status by winning just 11 seats.
As a part of the tradition, Jagan came to the assembly today to take this oath as an MLA and he sported a disgruntled look. He didn’t sport his party kanduva, like how other MLAs usually do.
With 90% of the assembly sporting the colors of TDP and partly Janasena, considering the outright majority this alliance got, Jagan looked evidently uneasy.
Jagan came into the assembly, quickly competed his vows, then congratulated the protem speaker Butchaiah Chowdary and later moved out. His stay in the assembly hall didn’t even last 90 seconds. If this is the case on the first day of the assembly, we have to see how Jagan can manage this adverse situation for the next 5 years.
